First Family Session

Saturday I had the joy of working with the Roberts family, 14 of them, for the afternoon. We took over 600 pictures, and I have been diligently working to get those edited and ready to go. It was so much fun, and a lot of hard work! I never dreamt that I'd be sore that evening... too funny!!!

We captured some very special moments for them before their families parted ways, with two of the families off to their military posts. They dressed the kids in their military outfits for the Grandkids pictures... it was so sweet!

We ran into one problem... I had intended on going numerous places in the park. However, on a Saturday in South Park... means WEDDINGS, and LOTS of them! Along with lots of cars too!! We didn't get to do a lot of the ideas that I had in mind because it was taking the chance that we'd not find a parking spot in the area we were heading, and all the gazebos were taken with events... rats! We made it worked, and worked with it.

I am obviously very picky, and will always critique my own work, but I know one thing... I can't wait to have a studio! We had so much fun outside, I can only guess what it'd be like with a studio.

I tried to put some of the pictures on here for a peek, but apparantly have them in wrong format, so I will work on that tonight once Matt is home to help. :-)

Hugs to everyone, and thanks for your support!

Cayden's first soccer game

We had so much fun Saturday watching Cayden play his first soccer game this season. He did so well!!! We got quite a few good shots of him; however, being on a crowded soccer field, I did pick up a lot of background noise in the images that I could've done without, but that is okay. These will just be shots for my albums. I cannot wait until my first session on the 27th of this month!!! This camera is amazing!

Kai was trying to get Cayden's attention... looks like he was whistling.
He was not, just being silly as usual.

One of my best girlfriends son Zach working hard to get that ball down the field! GO ZACH! (I took this from across another field in addition to the one Zach was on... love my ZOOM!)

"I'm open! I'm open!" Cayden kept yelling to his teammates. SO CUTE!

Don't let this picture fool you... this is my silly and very happy youngest, who just doesn't like that Mommy has this new toy! It's been about impossible for him to smile in any pictures so far. OH well... cute anyways! If he had a different shirt on and Daddy's pants weren't in the background, this one would be up on my wall because it totally reflects his funny personality.

CHEESE! Cayden was waiting patiently for the game to begin, and spotted me with my camera from quite a distance away. He is LOVING the camera!!!

I wanted to post this the other day and forgot. Cayden was pretending to YELL, but he was really just being funny too!

Going in for the goal!!!!!!! WHOHOO, he made two for the team! YAH Cayden!
It's such a privilege to be invited into your lives, and capture these moments for you.
I cannot wait!
Hugs, Jamie
ps... you can subscribe to this blog so that when it's updated, it will automatically email you the new posts *and more pictures*... yeah!

A Day of Fun

WHOHOOO, I love my camera and I do love to capture each moment in images to share with each of you. This camera is by far surpassing any idea I had of what it was, and I cannot wait to get started with you and your family. Kai was not too keen on me taking his picture, but Cayden could not wait! I captured some exciting moments with Cayden while he was outside playing.

Catch me if you can Mom!

so excited to be home...

I snuck this when he didn't know I was watching with my new 70-300mm lense! Love it!

It's here!!!

Whew, I waited all day for my camera to arrive... the FedEx truck came - no camera. The mailman came - no camera. Finally, at dinnertime, UPS arrived - ding dong, WHOOHHOOOO!!! Only problem... I was cooking dinner and could not stop what I was doing, lol. No chance to play until this evening while the boys were playing Gameboy with Daddy. So... nothing fancy today but here are some fun snapshots. Enjoy! ;-)

As well as some shots of some pictures that I took last Fall of my boys. I apologize, but like I said... everything is in my albums or in my frames to this point. Nothing fancy or cropped, just as is... raw. :-)

Hello and Welcome!

Hello Everyone! Let me first say, THIS IS A WHOLE NEW THING FOR ME! I've never blogged before, but I hear it's the upcoming trend, so let's go for it!!! I will use this until I can get a site designed to my liking --- oh so picky --- and this might end up being much more fun! I've had a lot of people asking me if I have sample pictures to show you...

Truth is, I do but they are all in my scrapbooks! However, my camera arrives TOMORROW - yeah! can you hear me screaming? - so once it gets here... the samples will start being shot! I cannot wait for that UPS truck to show up in my driveway. This has been an eight year long dream and it's really hard to believe that it is finally here!

What I am going to attempt to do, in my endeavor to learn to BLOG, is upload some images that I do have on my camera here. However, when looking, please keep in mind that these are not with my new camera - nor are they any of the Sessions that I have done. I will get the true samples uploaded once the camera arrives!!! Pray for no rain - whohoo!

My Style
I tend to have a different take on things. However, I can take the traditional photos that you can get anywhere, but I do like to have FUN in my sessions. Once you schedule your appointment with me, we will discuss what STYLE your family has, and we will create the perfect session just for you.
Please note: these are just landscape pictures at this point as all my other images are in a Scrapbook. As long as things go as planned, I will have my camera to get you samples using the new camera --- these are with the old.
